China is about to have a three-day Qingming Festival (4 April to 6 April). This probably would affect how the rates go from CN to US slightly. Please check below for our projections:
CN-ORD: Prior to the Qingming Festival, air freights remain high due to the demand for Apple products. However, rates during the Festival may slightly decrease.
CN-LAX: Due to flight cancellations (GG XMN-LAX, 5Y TAO-LAX, 5Y PVG-LAX), we are currently experiencing tight space availability for big shipments to LAX. The market situation for this lane this week is still unclear, but we may have more information later this week.
CN-JFK: The number of booked high-density shipments has increased, resulting in rates for high-density cargoes showing no signs of going down. Conversely, rates for volumetric shipments may slightly decrease this week.
CN-DFW: Rates for this lane remain stable, and airlines are specifically in need of small volumetric cargoes in cartoons.
CN-ATL: Rates for this lane are stable at the beginning of this week. However, rates may decrease slightly during the holiday period.
CN-SEA/SFO: Rates for pallet cargoes will remain the same this week, while rates for small cargoes in cartons are expected to decrease slightly.
