We’d like to provide you with an update on the current air freight market for China to US shipments.
With the increasing demand for Apple products and e-commerce shipments, we are also witnessing a rise in traditional B2B shipments. As a result, the air freight market for this route is growing steadily, leading to rates remaining at the same high level as last week.
Here is a breakdown of the current situation for each destination:
1. CN-ORD: Space availability for this weekend is becoming tight due to the surge in demand for Apple products and e-commerce cargoes. We anticipate a significant volume of high-density shipments next week, with airlines having a great need for volumetric shipments.
2. CN-LAX: There is a high demand for volumetric and slightly volumetric cargoes, with bookings extending until the middle of next week. Airlines prefer small high-density shipments for the following week.
3. CN-JFK: The demand for e-commerce cargoes has been weak this week, and the traditional B2B shipments are not currently experiencing an increase in demand. However, we have received requests from major e-commerce platforms for space allocation for next week, indicating a tighter availability.
4. CN-DFW: Rates for this lane remain high due to the growing demand. Airlines, however, still show a preference for volumetric shipments for this weekend.
5. CN-Mexico: With the production lines in Mexico now operational, there has been a significant increase in demand for fast transit time air shipments from China to NLU. We recommend opting for K4 for larger shipments.
We hope that the information provided above will prove valuable for your China imports operations. Should you have any further questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
